Drop-off & Pick-up

At Washington Elementary, we have three options for student drop-off and pick-up:

North Walker: Students will exit from the front of the building and begin traveling north using the sidewalk with a teacher. Once they reach the corner, they will be released to a parent/guardian or begin their route home using the sidewalk independently.

South Walker: Students will exit with a teacher using an exterior door on the south side then accessing the crosswalk together before being released to a parent/guardian or to travel home independently using the sidewalk.

Car Rider: Each family will receive two car hangers with a number that is assigned to your family. It is important to have the number visible to our reader when traveling though the car loop. Using the map below, vehicles will come onto the property on 125th Street at Ridgeview Road. Travel around the middle school parking lot and then into the Washington Elementary driveway. Once you arrive at the front of the building, students will be ready at a colored cone for pick-up. Do not pass in the car line, students are in order from the tag presented at the start of the car loop. We will release your student once the vehicle is safely stopped at a cone. Please make sure your student(s) enter on the right side of the vehicle so that we can safely keep traffic flowing.

Other Important Info: Please note, if you want to request a change in your pick-up, it must be made to the office by 3:30 p.m. the day of. It is important that we have adequate time to communicate to the teacher/student(s) prior to the close of the day.  Safety is our No. 1 priority. If at any point during the school year, your student needs a different option due to special circumstances, please reach out to the office so we can make arrangements. We appreciate your attention and patience as we safely close out the school day.
